Report Builder Workshop 1

Retrieving and building reports from Clarity data is a key management tool. This workshop gives users the skills for creating documents to their requirements and preferable layout, with the information on it that the company needs.

Report Builder 1 concentrates on using the many existing built-in reports and amending them to make them more suitable for the individual company. Users learn how to format reports, text fonts, add text and customise documentation with logos and images. It will also show the user how to add 'simple' data to the reports, understand the basic ‘data views’ and how to manipulate data fields on the different report bands.

Report Builder Workshop 2

Report Builder 2 deals with simple report design and advanced layout formatting. Database knowledge and an understanding of simple programming structures is necessary for Report Builder 2. This workshop builds an understanding of the data structures and tables that are used to build reports. It teaches the user to create simple queries, extract data, group like data together, perform calculations and display it in a report.

The workshop teaches the user how to filter and order data so that the information is presented succinctly and logically. The workshop also introduces the user to sub-reports.

Report Builder Workshop 3

Report Builder 3 is the most advanced of the Report Builder Workshops and so participants must have attended Report Builder 1 and 2 before embarking on the course. This workshop covers how to build complex bespoke reports using programming and calculations. Users will be taught how to add calculations and data queries to their reports.

The workshop will also deal with complex formatting issues. At the end of the workshop, users will have the ability to produce entirely new reports in their preferred format and layout.
